The Wahine Surf Club is hosting the 9th Annual Coastal Edge Surf for the Cure, benefiting Nine Local Current Breast Cancer patients in Hampton Roads. The Coastal Edge Surf for the Cure events include the Coastal Edge Aloha 5k, the Coastal Edge Surf for the Cure Silent Auction, the Coastal Edge Skate for the Cure and finally, the events culminate with the Coastal Edge Surf for the Cure Surf Competition. The Silent Auction is a significant component of this event; the Wahine committee is requesting donations for the auction with the support of Coastal Edge.
As a supporter of these events, you and your company or organization are helping to provide breast health education, screening, diagnostic and treatment support here in our local community. Services are granted to local women who are uninsured or under-insured, specifically for breast health screenings. These screenings have made a positive difference in the lives of women (and some men) living in our communities. Since this event was created we have offered hundreds of FREE mammograms and saved lives through early detection and given thousands of dollars in donations to the chosen individuals experiencing financial hardships through their journey with breast cancer.
